eApps Hosting is looking for a Technical Support Representative / System Administrator to join our LATAM  support team.

eApps Hosting is a high value provider of managed hosting and related services for businesses and organizations throughout the world. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical solutions to eApps Hosting customers.  This IS NOT a typical Tier I technical support position! You will be expected to apply System Administrator technical skills, and strong analytical skills, to provide solutions to our customer’s problems. This is a challenging position that requires a high level of commitment and flexibility in work hours. You must also have excellent English language skills.

This is a full-time job. Our work model is remote home office and from time to time you will be required to travel. We run a 24/7 operation. This position will require odd work hours such as evenings and weekends in the Eastern Time zone.

Linux Operating Systems (CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian) Knowledge - Exceptional knowledge of Linux is a must. You must be able to install a Linux server from scratch and configure it on a network. Experience with clustering software and techniques is valued (Pacemaker, Corosync, DRBD, Percona XtraDB cluster, etc.)

Windows Server Operating Systems (2012 - 2016) Knowledge - Windows Knowledge is required. You must be able to install a Windows server from scratch and configure it on a network.

Solid Networking Foundation - You must have a good understanding of working in a public facing network. You must understand basic network administration to succeed in this position.

Good Understanding of Internet Protocols - Candidate will understand common protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, IMAP/POP3, and DNS.

Database and Applications Experience - Experience supporting web applications and complex websites are highly valued: Java, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, MSSQL and PostgreSQL.


Virtualization Technology - Nice to have: experience working with virtualization technologies such as KVM, Virtuozzo, and VMware. Experience with Cloud technologies is a plus.

Development Experience - Nice to have: experience in debugging / development on JAVA, PHP and any other language.

DevOps Experience - Nice to have: We work with Ansible mostly, but any kind of experience in this field is welcome.

Shell Scripting experience is a plus.

PaaS - Experience with Platform as a Service is a plus

Server Security - Experience with advanced iptables rules management is a plus



Language Skills: Candidate must be proficient in English, both written and spoken, in a technical environment.

Good Judgment - Successful candidate will be able to judge situations and make decisions quickly.

Great Problem Solving Skills - Your primary responsibility will be to get to the bottom of problems and solve them.

Excellent Communication Skills - You will need to feel comfortable interacting with customers and associates over phone, chat, and emails.

Self Starter - Ideal candidate has a high energy level and is comfortable producing a high volume of work.
